December fun

Back to playing catch-up for December

We've been waiting for the Magna Fire station to open so that we could go to the open house.  Roman was so excited.  He kept asking if they would really have a fire pole, and if they really slid down it to go downstairs.

We got there are Roman was acting really shy.  He wouldn't talk to the firemen, he wanted to whisper to me They were so cute with Roman.  They let him try on their helmet, one of the firemen got on the back of the truck and talked to Roman on their radios, they let him sit at the wheel and turn on the lights, he was in heaven (they even let him jump on the beds)!  Hudson wanted to check everything out too, but he didn't want to just sit still.

After we saw the whole fire station they showed Roman what he wondered about...if they REALLY had a pole, and did they REALLY slide down it.  Yep, they do, and yes, they did, and they even let Roman slide down the pole (with help.)  He LOVED it.

Also in December, we went back to tour the Up! House.  It was under contract, so they were allowing the public to go in and see it for the month of December.  Again, Roman was acting shy as we walked in, but really was excited to see it all.

They have amazing murals just like in the movie.  The bookshelf at the top of the stairs is actually the doors for a hidden room.

I love the blue appliances in the kitchen.  They were telling us they had the microwave specially made to match the other appliances.
The nursery is so sweet, and the tv in the living room was amazing.  They had every detail down.

Down in the basement they have 2 bedrooms that are Andy's room from Toy Story and a Princess room.  Hudson wanted to go right into the Toy Story room and start playing.
Roman and Hudson on the front porch.

Roman was so proud of his Grape Soda badge they gave him as we were leaving.

We went to see the Temple Square Christmas Lights.  We met Spencer at work and got to Temple Square before the lights were even on so we had to be a little patient, but it was worth the wait.  We brought blankets and the double strolled and bundled the boys in nice and snug and it was a nice night with the family.

Visiting Santa x2 (in the same day...good thing Roman didn't notice they looked NOTHING alike!)

The first Santa was at Mountainland Pediatric Dentistry.  Roman loved talking to him, but after months of asking for the same thing, he decided at the last second he was going to ask Santa for something different.  Hudson wanted nothing to do with Santa.

That night was our Ward Christmas party.  The Primary kids learned a few songs to sing and they were so cute.

Once again, Roman told Santa the same thing he asked the first Santa for...this one though told him it would be "no problem" to get him this new item (Cars 2 toys).  Luckily Santa already had some Cars2 cars for in their stockings, but it wasn't his "big" gift.
